Meet Dr. Keith Kemnitz

Dr. Keith A. Kemnitz earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois where he graduated first in his dental school class. As valedictorian and a summa cum laude graduate, he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He was also one of four students elected to membership in the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society. This honor acknowledges those students who demonstrate the following characteristics:

A passion for learning, critical thinking, and embracing the concept of education as a lifelong pursuit.
A strong sense of justice, emphasizing the value of moral convictions.

Dr. Keith Kemnitz completed his Orthodontic Specialty Certification at the prestigious Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Mayo’s orthodontic specialty program is a three-year program that accepts and graduates just one resident each year. While at Mayo, Dr. Keith earned his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) degree for his research thesis in surgical orthodontic treatment.

Dr Keith Kemnitz recognizes the importance of staying up to date with the rapid changes in orthodontics. He participates in multiple dental study clubs, regularly attends continuing education courses, and works with general dentists to further their understanding of complex orthodontic issues. He also conducts regular meetings with his team to insure his patients receive the best possible quality care.

As a result of Dr. Keith Kemnitz’s extensive training, he is able to offer his patients the best possible care. We use cutting edge technology including the iTero scanner to help eliminate gooey impressions and we exclusively use digital imaging to ensure accurate diagnosis and optimal patient safety.

Dr. Keith Kemnitz also works closely with a broad group of excellent dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists and other dental specialists to manage those cases that are particularly complex. From simple straight forward treatments, to complex surgical orthodontic cases, Dr. Keith Kemnitz sees each case as an exciting challenge.

Dr. Keith Kemnitz and his wife, Shelley, reside in Burnsville. They have two children, Jeff and Cara. Together, they enjoy skiing, scuba diving, canoeing, kayaking, traveling and spending time “up north.”
